  1. Hi all, I've just received the attached letter (but it's dated in May 2017), anyone has sent back your vehicle for repair? Is it critical? Thanks. J077-Letter.pdf

Thanks advice. Actually what I meant is the rear brake pads have been replaced 1.5 years ago, so I'm not sure whether the mechanic has claimed they have worn out again now is true. (Replaced the brake pads 1.5 years ago implying that the original set has lasted for 2 years since my car now is 3.5 years old)

    XF 2.0 issues

Hi all, My XF2.0P has just turned 3.5 years old. I've sent in to Wearnes for the last servicing and thorough checks just before the 3 years warranty period has expired, and was told all are ok. Last few days, I've noticed a weird sound coming from my left front tyre intermittently, but I chose to ignore. This morning, the "brake pads low" warning light has come on, so I've decided to drive to a workshop to check. I was told the front and rear brake pads both have worn out (the rear brake pads have been last replaced at Wearnes about 1.5 years ago), and also the shock absorber is spoilt and required to be replaced. Do you guys think what the mechanics has claimed sounds logical? If it is, do you guys think is there any case for me to go back to Wearnes since they have last checked thoroughly just 6 months ago? Lastly, am I supposed to go for another workshop to seek for second opinion? Any recommendation? Appreciate all your comments, thanking all in advance.

  10. Hi all, I'm driving a XF 2.0 petrol bought last year, last few days my car was parked at public carpark and was hit by someone but ran away without me noticing, it left me with a few cm crack on my chrome surround the front grille and a damaged number plate. Could any bro here advise me what can I do now? Replacement of the part is too costly as I've called up Wearnes and was told it costs more than 1K without installation, as the chrome surround is not sold separately from the mesh. Any chance to repair the crack? Seems like the chrome surround is plastic material to me... If it can be repaired, any estimated cost? If cant be repaired and got to replace, any cheap alternative? Thanking all in advance.
